Cactus Search are delighted to be supporting this well-established Pension Services provider in their search to find an experienced Senior Technical Analyst to join their organisation.

The Senior Technical Analyst will provide support on a wide variety of projects with particular focus on technical pension issues within these projects, as well as assisting with complex member casework, complaints handling and supporting the core member services team.

Key responsibilities are…

- Provide technical support for bulk project work, including data analysis, individual and bulk calculations and system updates
- Carrying out calculations, validating data and supporting service teams with high value or technically complex pension cases
- Support pension administration system amendments to calculations and background data tables as required
- Develop/maintain calculations used to test system and run calculations that system is not to process
- Support the ongoing monitoring of strength of operational and system controls to reduce risk to the pension scheme
- Working closely with the internal Legal team, keep up to date with relevant legislation and regulations, assisting in disseminating the information to the wider team

What we are looking for…

- Strong experience of working in pensions with a defined benefit focus
- Excellent MS office experience, particularly Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good broad experience of Calculation Development, Excel skills and dealing with pension regulatory matters
- Strong numeric, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
